User management

User roles

The system has in-build 4 main roles

Let's take a look at these difference roles in the table below:

For example, a user with the role 'edit' or 'read only' will not have access to Personally identifiable information ( PII) in the ECRF view and can only view and edit the sensitive research data.

You can always change the role of a user or delete the user from the project.

In addition, by knowing each user of your project you will have better visibility of who/when, and what was done with the data. More details ib the 'Activity log' section of this document.

Owner of the project

The owner of the project has extra permissions, such as to delete the project or change the project owners in settings. The user who created the project becomes the project owner
